Vinicius Junior accuses Benfica player of racism

Brazilian Vinicius Junior launched a campaign against 'cowards' after accusing Benfica's player Gianluca Prestiani of racist abuse during his Spanish club Real Madrid's 1-0 win over the Portuguese team in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. The match in Lisbon was stopped for over 10 minutes due to the anti-racism protocol after Vinicius reported the alleged insult to French referee Francois Letexier during a clash with Prestiani. This came just moments after the 25-year-old player scored a magnificent goal that decided the match. Vinicius wrote on Instagram, referring to Prestiani hiding his mouth with his shirt during their altercation: 'Racists are above all cowards'.
