The Portuguese government stated that it is considering all options, including the potential purchase of F-35 fighter jets from the USA and other European military aircraft.
"We are analyzing all available options and conducting assessments of different aspects related to the potential purchase of new fighters, including F-35 fighters and other European variants," said a representative of the Portuguese government.
He also added that a final decision on the procurement of new fighters has not yet been made, and at this moment, only preliminary discussions of different alternatives are being conducted.
